Our Favourite Books for Navigating Motherhood

Our Favourite Books for Navigating Motherhood

Raise your hand if you've found yourself down a Google Rabbit Hole of Parent Forums, weird blog articles and thought.... how the hell did I get here! <Hand raised>

One of the reasons we started Fill Your Cup was to merge our experience as mothers with our love for science and evidenced-based information. Over the years we have read, researched and collated many books and resources that have helped us move through Motherhood with a sense of confidence. They've made sense of why we felt so overwhelmed and exhausted and have since empowered us to make more informed decisions for ourselves and our families.

So we've fast-tracked the research part, skipped past the Google Rabbit Hole and wanted to share some of those books with you. In these books you will learn how to nourish yourself, kick postnatal depletion to the curb, develop an understanding about normal infant behaviour (think sleep and feeding) and how best to prepare for The Fourth Trimester. The authors of these books have all walked the walk and developed these books from years of research and experience in their specialist fields.

Here are our Top 5 Books for Prenatal and Postpartum Mamas:

The Discontented Little Baby Book - Dr Pamela Douglas (POSSUMS)

Real Food for Pregnancy- Lily Nichols RDN

The Fourth Trimester - Kimberly Ann Johnson

The First Forty Days - Heng Ou

The Postnatal Depletion Cure - Dr Oscar Serrallach

Enjoy!

P.S. If you want to fast track your learning, we've introduced Lily Nichols and Dr Pamela Douglas on The Science of Motherhood Podcast, take alisten
